Environmental and Social Responsibility in line with GOTS 7.0


Introduction and Commitment

As a company committed to responsibility for the environment, society, and employees, The Creative Club (fabfab GmbH) undertakes to identify, assess, and systematically minimize human rights, social, and ecological risks in its supply chain and own operations. This Due Diligence Policy forms the foundation of our commitment to sustainable development and fulfills the requirements of the GOTS 7.0 certification.


1. Environmental Responsibility

The Creative Club (fabfab GmbH) actively integrates environmental protection into its corporate strategy and works continuously to implement eco-friendly measures.


Measures already implemented


  • • Full reuse of fabric samples (as customer samples and as “fabric piece sets” in patchwork surprise bags)

  • • Reuse of returns and unsellable/defective fabric sections as fabric remnant packages

  • • Full sale of leftover pieces through optimized warehouse processes

  • • Use of sustainable packaging (LDPE shipping bags, FSC-certified cartons)

  • • Internal transport in reusable boxes

  • • Use of recycled printer paper

  • • Installation of switchable power strips

  • • Waste separation across all company areas

  • • 100% green electricity supply since 2021

  • • Digitalized payslips via employee portal

  • • Reduction of internal transport routes (site consolidation in 2021)


Recent additions 2025


  • • April 2025: Packaging material savings through revised picking processes for haberdashery

  • • July 2025: Waste reduction by eliminating labels for haberdashery

  • • Target by end of 2025: Resource savings through reduced warehouse and office space (saves electricity and heating)


2. Social Responsibility


The Creative Club (fabfab GmbH) actively promotes a fair, respectful, and non-discriminatory work environment in accordance with the existing works agreement “Anti-Harassment & Non-Discrimination” and the company’s values.

Complaint mechanism


All employees have the opportunity to report incidents or violations confidentially (via an anonymous form). Complaints may also be submitted directly to supervisors, the works council, or the People & Organization team. Complaints are processed within one week.

  • • Internal measures such as warnings, transfers, or dismissals

  • • Mediation by external consultants

  • • Regular supplier audits in line with GOTS guidelines

  • • Training for business partners on environmental and social standards
